Halloween in December

Kai eating a pumpkin seed
For the past couple weeks I've been trying to find time to carve a pumpkin. At first I wasn't sure what to carve. I kept thinking autumn leaves, a cat, a hamster, the words"Happy Halloween!" I just couldn't decided, but once Halloween past I realized it really didn't matter anymore. The main reason to carve the pumpkin was to gather the seeds for the little hammies instead.

I opened the pumpkin, took out all the guts, and separated the seeds from the goo. I rinsed the seeds in some water and laid them out to dry. Then I decided to carve the pumpkin into a cat face. Once it was finished I decided to play a little with the hammies. I took each boy out and we had a little photo shoot.

Is that Kai or the cat's tongue?
Later the next night the boys got some of the seeds that came outta the pumpkin. They were a big hit!
